REAL ESTATE ASSET MANAGEMENT AND FINANCE
In conjunction with its
other business functions, Calgary also is involved in providing
real estate business advisory and property management services as
both an owner and operating manager. This also includes identifying
and negotiating for and closing underlying commercial mortgage transactions.
Within this context, Calgary
also structured an Internal Revenue Code Section 1031 Tax Deferred
Exchange transaction in connection with real property. Among other
components, this transaction utilized a construction loan, mortgage
and the establishment of a new Limited Liability Corporation. The
purpose of this transaction was to maximize the net proceeds available
for reinvestment and to defer taxes.
